Headed across Senegal with some form of escort hoping to cross the border tonight or latest tomorrow into Gambia. The others have booked a flight on Wed 12th but David and Pat are going to try their luck at standby to get an earlier flight. Looking forward to hearing how the Mini gets on in the auction.

There are at least 5 lads here in Leeds who I work with who want to talk with you both when you get back.. they want to do what you have done.. except driving throught the desert!! They want ME to do that bit.. lol!!? Kinda defeats the object of the whole thing eh.. but hey maybe you can persuade them to drive into the Sahara... Mind you I am well up for the challenge!? ;-)

6th Jan. Just heard that you are all safe in Garden Safari hotel. Congratulations to everyone - it has obviously been a fantastic experience but I am sure you are ready for a comfortable night in a hotel bed!
